It amazes me how monochrome simplicity can be simply stunning. Beautiful work Anita!
Thank you so much! It is a real challenge to decide when to stop, but I am gradually realizing that “less is more”. I have a real need to simplify in my life as well as my paintings.
Our skies in Chicago today are just like these paintings. Grey clouds are here again… winter approaches. I’ve never tried a snow painting… not wishing for the stuff but maybe I’ll try one this year. Thank you, Tony.
Meanwhile we are heading into our hottest season – not that we ever have snow here in North Queensland. I look forward to your snow pictures when they come. Tony
Ha!! Hopefully that is a few months away : ) I hope you stay cool!
I’m using a 1 inch Kolinsky sable hair brush (technically a watercolor brush) on gessobord for these. The brush goes across so smoothly on the panel. Thank you, Doron.
Stunning.
Thank you.
As a lover of the sea, these speak to me.
I love the sea, too! I grew up on the East coast US and now live near beautiful Lake Michigan which inspired these.

Interesting and the result is great like the combination of colours too.
Oh, I love how simple it seems, but yet it is so difficult to achieve such effect! Bravo!
I have to say the hardest thing is to PUT DOWN THE BRUSH!!! You always think that more details are better. I don’t think so anymore. Thank you.
I try to follow this philosophy, too. Thank YOU for your amazing art!
