Thanks very much! The small panels have a very warm tone painted on them which is allowed to dry before I start the painting… so I hadn’t thought of it before your comment… but, yes, white is a color (or slight off white). The paintings are a bit difficult to photograph and the white in reality is not as white as on the computer screen.
