I’m enjoying your monochrome series. As I try more conversions from color digital shots to black and white, I’m understanding how difficult it is to see tonal values. Your painting are a great help.
Thank you. And I totally agree with you. I am turning my photos into grayscale then using that to paint from and trying to simplify shapes. I agree that it is very difficult to see color as tones. I always feel that I see the composition better in black and white than in color.
